This festival for all ages includes live music and entertainment, chalk art sidewalk displays at Downtown Disney® Marketplace and a children’s activity area where kids can create their own masterpieces. 4th Annual Orlando Puppet Festival – 11/07/08 – 11/09/08
Produced by IBEX Puppetry, the festival features puppetry for both adult and family audiences, including live shows, gallery shows, films and workshops that highlight the art of puppetry.
Venues include Mad Cow Theatre, Gallery at Avalon Island, Orange County Regional History Center, CityArts Factory, and The Breakfast Club. Prices range from $5.00-$15.00 and show titles include: Lolly Learns, Somebunny Special, Puppets from the Edge, Cracker Cinderella, Puppet Potpourri and Performance Shorts.
Alice Takes Wonderland – 12/06/08 – 12/07/08
A modern twist on Lewis Carroll’s well-known classic Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland to explore the fragility and joy of childhood in this fanciful, thought-provoking tale about metamorphosis and self-discovery. Alice Takes Wonderland examines what it means to grow up feeling different and reminds us to celebrate our individuality. Includes an English tea party intermission! Suitable for all ages.
This will be held at the Wayne Densch Performing Arts Center in Sanford and the times are Sat, 4:30pm; Sun, 1:30pm. Admission is $22 (General admission), $17 (College students with ID and guest 55+). FREE to children 17 and under when accompanied by paying adult maximum of 4 free child tickets per each paid adult admission.

Branson Area Festival of Lights Drive-Through – November 1 to December 31, 2008
This event will delight children of all ages (adults too). Your journey begins with a magical one-mile drive along a path illuminated with more than 120 displays. Conveniently located off Shepherd of the Hills Expressway and Roark Valley Road, this one of a kind family experience promises to be spectacular.

Hands On For Kids Gallery and Mariner’s Museum – Open year round
Part of the Peninsula Fine Arts Center, this interactive gallery in Newport News allows kids to paint, color, and work on other artistic works. Admission is free.
The Mariner’s Museum explores and celebrates the many ways that man has used the sea as a source of transportation, food, warfare, and beauty. Models of ships, countless maritime artifacts, and many educational programs are a part of this institution’s many offerings.
A Kid’s Holiday Weekend – Weekends in December
This creative weekend includes activities such as dressing up for the holidays, 18th-century entertainment including storytelling, dance, music and puppet shows, caroling, participation in food preparation and creative art projects. It is included with the purchase of any Colonial Williamsburg admission ticket.
To enhance the holiday weekend experience, guests can turn it into “A Kid’s Holiday Memories” day package. The cost is $15 for adults and children ages 6 and older, and $7.50 for children under 6 with the purchase of any Colonial Williamsburg admission ticket. A parent must accompany his or her child. Holiday traditions of yesteryear are experienced, and costumed guides accompany the family while visiting with a character interpreter, in making holiday decorations and in playing colonial games.
