Unique Events in Branson, Missouri

If you like Kewpie dolls or if you are looking for something unique to do this week check out Kewpiesta in Branson, Missouri. Kewpiesta is a celebration of the life of Rose O’Neill, world famous author, artist, sculptor, illustrator and creator of the beloved Kewpie doll. The festival began in 1967 when a group of Kewpie collectors met in Branson to celebrate their shared interest in everything Kewpie. The first meeting has evolved into a yearly, 4-day convention with fans coming from all across the United States, Europe and Asia. It includes an Affiliate Get Together, a trade show where authentic and reproductions of Rose’s work is sold, an auction, the International Rose O’Neill Club (IROC)’s business meeting, and is capped by a formal dinner.

Kewpiesta takes place on the third weekend of April, making this year’s event April 23, 2008 – April 27, 2008.
